The Funny Animal Guide to Meeting Planning

Recently, we shared five tips for reducing Meeting Planner Stress. But there’s one more daily activity we encourage you to practice daily: laughing.

Laughter is good medicine… and that’s no joke! According to the Mayo Clinic, laughter produces positive benefits for your mind and body; it not only soothes tension, but a good, hearty laugh can relieve pain and improve your immune system.

So why not begin today?

There’s nothing like some silly animal pics to make you smile. Add some helpful image captions with suggestions on “how to be a better meeting planner” – now that’s funny! Our thanks to Sidney Selnek from Eagles Talent Speakers Bureau for putting an event planner spin on a few funnyanimalsite.com gems in “The Funny Animal Image Guide to Being a Better Meeting Planner”.

And, I couldn’t resist throwing in one of my own: my cat Eddie (he’s yawning)!

No More Boring Meetings!

Eddie yawning - no more boring meetings!

Just because “you’ve always done it that way” doesn’t mean you have to stick to the same old, same old meeting formula. Break out of the box! Safe and predictable equals dismal attendance and less than stellar post-event comments. If you want to add some sizzle and spark inspiration, consider meeting at sea. With lots of included goodies (like choice of dining, recreation, and entertainment options), no one can accuse you of planning a boring event!
