A Royal Experience on the NYC Subway

The Sea is Calling – Manhattan Commuters Invited to Answer it Royally.

New York City’s underground commuters will soon be given a taste of the Royal Caribbean experience as they travel in fully-branded subway cars between Times Square and Grand Central Station. The 42nd Sreet S Line cars will remind riders that “The Sea is Calling” as they are invited to “Answer it Royally.”

Royal Caribbean wraps NYC subway cars

The subway cars – wrapped both inside and out – are designed to give passengers a glimpse into an actual Royal Caribbean cruise ship. Each car conveys the options for onboard entertainment, relaxation and adventure, with interiors separately wrapped to reflect such joyful surprises as:

  • An onboard theater featuring marquees of some of the Broadway shows guests can see onboard select Royal Caribbean ships including HairsprayChicago, and Saturday Night Fever
  • An onboard spa with bamboo showers and masseuse
  • An open deck area complete with a Flowrider surf simulator and surfer.

Commuters will be treated to special surprises during the month, and challenged to find “hidden treasures” in the shuttle artwork, including characters such as Shrek and Po from Royal Caribbean’s exclusive partnership with DreamWorks Animation.

For New York-area residents, as well as planners looking for extraordinary“drive-to” meeting venues for their Northeast attendees, Royal Caribbean offers plenty of convenient itineraries to Bermuda and the Caribbean. Innovative onboard facilities, upscale accommodations, and an amazing array of dining and entertainment options are all delivered within a few-hours drive from home.

The Explorer of the Seas, sailing 5 nights to Bermuda from Bayonne, NJ is a best bet for New York-based meeting planners. Enchantment of the Seas also offers cruises to Bermuda or the Bahamas from Baltimore, Maryland.
