WSJ Article Provides Yet Another Reason to Select Cruising Over Hotels for Your Next Event.
An article in the Wall Street Journal illustrates yet another reason to consider a cruise over a hotel for your next corporate event: most hotels are still hesitant to install defibrillators. In contrast, most cruise ships are equipped with Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in addition to having onboard physicians and medical facilities.

“If your heart stops suddenly, you may not want to be at a hotel.
Automated external defibrillators — laptop-sized devices that can automatically restart a heart after sudden cardiac arrest — are now required equipment on commercial airliners and have saved lives at airports, casinos, health clubs and many public buildings. But hotels have resisted installing them, citing potential liability issues.”
